Reflections | Matthew 6:31-33

woot im rockin’ a new point and shoot camera. its actually my first ever point and shoot. its a panasonic LX3 and its probably one of the best rated wide angle p&s cameras out there. but if you are rich you can get the classier leica dlux4…same innards, just different looks.

this month marks the 2 year anniversary of my first blog post! if youve followed along (its been like a reality TV show) you know how i have changed as a photographer! its been a good good ride

the photo above was taken at the beach during a windy day. i think at times, life is as fast paced as the sand blown by the wind. i love to be with people, work with people and talk with people but sometimes the quiet times i cherish. i think we all need some quiet times in our lives.

the sand blowing in the wind also reminds me of the future. what will happen to the landscape if the wind constantly blows over the beach? what new forms will arise and what interesting aspects will it unearth? we dont know. thinking about the future always scares and freezes me but then i remember what is stated in the bible:

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

god gives us the peace that if we seek his kingdom and righteousness (pursue things of him and what he teaches in the bible on how to live), physical stuff of this world will be added to us (according to what he thinks you need, not what you think you need yourself).

and in that i find peace. that is not to say i dont struggle with insecurities of the future though. i struggle, but then come back to peace.
