Form not Function

school has been hard. but as people said to me…it is getting a tad better. still working on my wedding stuff though but here is a breather for you guys

i am taking this class called “form.” this class is all sorts of weird because its not a class based on a presentation of a final polished product. Instead it is designed to tear down everything you know and start from scratch…maybe you will arrive somewhere, maybe you wont. that concept is very foreign to me as a designer/photographer because we are all about the end product.

we were each given 2 objects to explore the properties of. its very hard to explain so i wont even try. so these are not about the photography but about the objects themselves.

i wont even tell you what these are because your mind will automatically associate properties to it and identify its function and name…NOT what this class is about and a totally different departure from what tried to do in a previous shoot.

as you move through these shots, think about the emotions/feelings they evoke. dig deep. be honest. feel. ask why. enjoy.

this one is so sexy. and no its not a plant. dont try to name it.
