Kay and Solomon Wedding | San Francisco | First United Presbyterian Church | Zen Peninsula

It’s so awesome to see an old friend finally get married! You can read about them here on their engagement shoot: Kay + Solomon Engagement. It was really good to see people I haven’t seen since I left for Davis some 5 years ago too at the wedding! Gosh I love it when friends get engaged and then get married, gives me the fuzzies wuzzies all over. Yesternite another friend told me he just proposed to his girlfriend and I was so excited that I was shaking all over and almost couldn’t sleep.

This was my first full featured wedding from getting ready to the end of the reception and was really good practice for my upcoming weddings in 2009! What was also good is that the church was the one I attended for many years so I was quite familiar with it.

Thank you Solomon and Kay for allowing me to shoot your wedding! I have to thank Solomon’s sister, Ruth, too for being an awesome coordinator and making it all happen! So many firsts this year! I feel so blessed.

I’ve visited many pro blogs that include wedding info and vendors so I want to be pro and do it too!

Thanks Derek and my housemate Caleb for shooting alongside me!

Cool tins!

Hands and more hands and more makeup. I was captivated by the process (as a guy you don’t use makeup…well unless you want to).

I had to stand really still for this shot…on a hotel bed that was quite bouncy. You know how it is…I know you’ve jumped on hotel beds before…it’s ok, I have too.

Sweet hair! I now realize that hair styling is an artform too!

Kay is so happy!

Probably the most distinctive thing of my church, the steeple!

I’m a fan of these intimate, close up moments.

To some this may be a scary sight, to me I get hungry. rawr

I love seeing the dads speak at weddings. Some are down to earth funny, some are sentimental. I’ll love it either way.

Solomon gets knocked out with just the slightest alcohol so the night he carried around tea. Haha I would be out with the slightest alcohol too. Good times.

  1. Great post. I like your blog. Different ways of seeing. Nice Work.

  2. Derek and Caleb went? Interesting. Was Caleb being all loud and needing someone to tell him to shut up all day? haha jk
