This year’s airshow was a bit of a let down. There were no F-22 and C-17 planes there like last year! Not to mention a B-2 stealth bomber crashed a couple weeks beforehand so the entire fleet was grounded and the F-117 stealth fighter has been retired so it wasn’t there either! If those were bad enough, the entire F-15 fleet in the U.S. is also grounded due to a structural failure of one of the jets a couple months before causing it to break apart in midair. Whew, sounds like it was a terrible year for our nation’s air force haha.
But anyways here were some of the main performers at the show this year. I personally have no interest in the acrobatic planes so I didn’t take any pics of those.
I love my new lens. I never thought I could get such sharp pics of the planes! Last year I came out with no usable pics with my old lens. Also, next year, I will work on blurring the props of the planes that have them.
The Coast Guard’s C-130 Hercules. The back was open because they were demonstrating that it could drop aid packages at low levels, and it did.

The Viper West demo team. They flew twice that day because other jets like the harrier couldn’t perform due to the high winds.

I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be a pilot in one of these.

Woohoo, prop blur. I could only do it for these slow movers, couldn’t quite manage to get usable pics when they were in the air.

Cargo jets sitting on the tarmac while some planes do some aerobatics.

“Fat Albert” as they call it. Where was its usual rockets? I don’t know.

Ah yes and the Blue Angels. To be honest, I’m pretty bored of seeing these guys already. But it was exciting to see my shots coming out so sharp and clear!
