San Francisco and the Airbus a380

Alrite! It should be smooth sailing from here as this WordPress blog is all setup! All the little nit-picky stuff such as Design shall come later so take it for what its worth right now. If the site looks all messed up, just ignore it because I’m working on parts here and there and all will be good soon!

Anyways, onto this past weekend! I believe photography is one of those great mediators that brings together people. I never heard someone say they hate photos. This weekend I had the opportunity to go see/photoshoot airplanes (what we aviation enthusiasts refer to as “spotting”) with a fellow aviation forum member and to take pictures of them. Most people would probably think that such an activity is utmost boring but I think otherwise! I also love San Francisco.

The Airbus a380, the world’s largest commercial jetliner was in town for a promotional tour and we took this rare chance to go see it in person. It landed at SFO on October the 4th at 9:25am for ground operations testing and departed for its San Francisco flyover and in flight photoshoot at 2:30pm on the 5th during the middle of the Blue Angel airshow practice for Fleet Week.

(This picture is now showcased on airliners.net! My first shot that made the cut into their prestigious database! Don’t forget to vote for it! http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1280259/L/)

  1. These pictures are like your collection. esp the one w/ the coca cola truck. miniature world! but no, it’s real!

  2. Absolutely beautiful. The A380 is just beautiful… I got to admit though, it took a while for the nose design to grow on me but once it did, the plane just got more and more awesome!
